Go-Around
- Throttle—MILITARY
- Speed Brake—UP
- Landing Gear—UP—Only after adequate airspeed has been obtained.
- Wing Flaps—UP—At final approach speed for weight and configuration.
- Clear traffic.
- Throttle—AS REQUIRED
Note
During a go-around in military thrust, approximately 250 pounds of fuel is required. If the afterburner is required, this amount increases to 300 pounds.
Caution
If using the emergency fuel control system, advance the throttle cautiously to prevent engine over-speed or compressor stall.
Warning
If the afterburner fails to ignite, considerably less than military thrust is output. Return the throttle inboard immediately to regain military thrust.
